Grand Island man accused of assaulting 3 year old

Grand Island Police arrested a man Thursday for the alleged sexual assault a three year old boy.

21 year old Donavan DeHarty was arrest for 3rd degree sexual assault of a child.

Police say they received a report from a woman in Grand Island saying her step son, DeHarty, may have inappropriately touched her three year old son.

Through their investigation, police say they found evidence to support the woman's claims.

DeHarty remains in jail Friday morning.
