A Grand Island teenager will spend up to 15 years in prison for his role in a fight on Eddy Street that ended with guns drawn in broad daylight.

19 year old William Matthews was sentenced to 3 to 5 years for attempted first degree murder.

He'll also serve a 5 year sentence for each count of using a gun to commit a felony.

Those three counts will be served consecutively.

Matthews was also given 20 months for tampering with a witness or juror. That'll be served concurrently.

Witnesses say last April Williams and another man got into a fight in the intersection of 12th and Eddy Streets.
