Grand Island woman changes plea in embezzling case
Former Executive Director of the Grand Island Community Foundation Lisa Katzberg has changed her plea. Back in January she pleaded not guilty to embezzling thousands of dollars from the organization. Thursday, Katzberg changed to a guilty plea.
According to Grand Island Police, Katzberg opened a bank account, Transferred funds to that account, and used those funds for personal use. She has since resigned and paid $27,000 in restitution. As part of a plea deal Katzberg was ordered to pay an additional $7,000 to the foundation. She could face up to five years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. Katzberg's sentencing is scheduled for April 24th. |
