Whether you favor red or white wine, you can drink a glass that was made right here in the Cornhusker State.

In fact there are over 350 acres of grapes in the state and about two dozen wineries.

Grape growers and wine makers shared ideas this weekend at the 16th annual Nebraska Winery and Grape Growers Forum and Trade Show in Kearney.

They discussed legislative and growing issues and of course tasted different wines.

But some of the growers are still trying to bounce back from the drought.

"I think it messes with the chemistry of the grapes a little bit so they weren't quite sure what they were going to get as a result," said Jennifer Montgomery, Executive Director. "In a drought situation that was that extreme we're not quite sure what the long term damage could be to the vines as well because this was very out of character even for the Midwest."

Around 100 people attended the trade show. It wrapped up Saturday evening.
