While the town of Alliance tries to return to normal, law enforcement release more details about the gunman.
The Nebraska State Patrol says Andres Gonzalez admitted during negotiations Tuesday that he killed a man last year in Colorado.
Investigators believe that he killed 38-year-old Joshua Bullock of Denver in December and dumped the body in a remote section of Dawes County, Nebraska.
The search for the remains is underway.
Gonzalez's girlfriend was arrested for being an accessory to a felony.
Two of the three police officers injured, as well as the owner of the pharmacy where Gonzalez held him captive, remain hospitalized Thursday.
