It's known to be one of the biggest decorating holidays of the year just next to Christmas and Halloween is in just two days. So which costumes are coming off the shelves and into your shopping bag?
News 5's Dara Newson shows us what's hot this season.

This year the Halloween boutique just can't seem to keep enough make believe brain sucking zombies in stock.

"Because of all the zombie walks and the movies, TV programs, zombies are really big," said Sandy Barker.

Store Manager Sandy Barker says the second hottest commodity is no longer available in-store.

"The morph went really fast, we got it in and then it sold out that's one of the costumes that the vendor wasn't able to replace because it was so popular," said Barker.

Consumers spend hundreds of dollars to dress up as the very thing or person they only dream about.

"I'm going to be a cow girl," said Jarilyn Bartlett.

"Actually, I got the cow girl outfit from here," Heidi Thomas said.

"Kind of like sticking towards clowns a lot," said Cody Eastman.

"I'm going to dress up as one of the wiggles," said April Huggins.

Parents aren't just shopping for themselves; their children have special requests too.

"I purchased a pink tutu for my daughter; she wants to be a toddler and tiara with two other gals," said Kathy Collins.

"A police man. Then I'm going to have a spider witch and a zombie," Huggins said.

Some even treat costume preparations like Christmas wish lists.

"We've got vampire, a butterfly, a monster, a ninja, another ninja, and a goddess," said Bartlett.

"I always take Halloween off so that we can spend the day putting on eyelashes and make up," said Thomas.

Whether it's these masks or one of these superheroes there's something about horror that people are infatuated with.

"I can wear whatever costume I want and nobody will even care," said Barker.

The day after Halloween on November 1st all costumes at the Halloween Boutique will be on sale for 50 percent off.
