Harvard restricts residential water usage

Another concern stemming from our blistering heat wave - the worst drought since the '80's. The city of Harvard has become the first area community to restrict residential water use.

Starting tomorrow, there will be restricted water use for even numbered houses on even number days and vice versa. Service can be shut off for those who don't comply.

Harvard's mayor says it's not a crisis yet, but conservation may avoid one.

"We're not at a point where we're extremely concerned. We're at a point where we see indicators that tell us we better start making some restrictions so that we don't get to an alarming situation," said Mayor Michael Boyd.
