Making an appearance in court Tuesday was the Harvard man police said robbed the First Bank and Trust in Clay Center in April. Brent Sanders faces four counts of criminal charges including felony charges of robberym, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm to commit a felony.

Sanders has served three previous sentences in prison and will also face a habitual criminal charge.

Trial for Sanders is planned to start August 11 in Clay Count District Court.

Investigators said they arrested Sanders after linking him to a firearm found discarded near a bridge.

They said the firearm fits the description of one used to rob the First Bank and Trust back in April.
