The Hastings Imperial Theater is using the large crowds to do some good. They are holding a Fighting Hunger at the Hunger Games food drive.

The idea was generated by Hastings High School. A private viewing was scheduled for the high school students Friday morning at 9:30.
And students came with bags full to donate.

"All they have to do is bring in any non-perishable item, for every non-perishable item, they get their name in the bowl, which is similar to the movie, this is a good bowl, though, not a bowl of gloom, and we have tons of prizes," said Imperial Theater General Manager Amanda Black-Payne.

Prizes were donated by different businesses around the community, and one-of-a-kind gear was contributed by Lionsgate.
