Hastings State Bank set to merge with Pinnacle Bank

A longtime local bank is set for a name change. Hastings State Bank will become be part of Pinnacle Bank.

The two banks announced the deal which has the seven Hastings State Bank locations being added to current Pinnacle Bank branch network.

But Pinnacle Bank Regional President Marc Hock says customers shouldn't see too many changes.

"We really think that there won't be any changes as far as people inside the branches, things like that. So, we think it's going to be a real net positive for the people of Hastings and, hopefully, the community and definitely for Pinnacle," said Hock.

The deal should close in December pending regulatory approval.

Hastings State Bank locations include two in Hastings, three in Lincoln, one in Roseland, and one in Fairfield.
