There's a benefit in Hastings Friday afternoon for those affected by the Blue Hill bus and semi crash. Four were killed and several others injured on September 5th.

The benefit is being held at the Northshore Assembly of God Church off 33rd Street in Hastings. A bake sale, garage sale, silent auction and vendor sale will take place to raise money.

All of the proceeds will be donated to the Blue Hill Memorial Fund.
Those funds will be evenly dispersed between the nine families affected by the accident.

"I think it's important for the community to know and the nine families who are affected to know not only do the surrounding communities support them with our prayers, but we're supporting them with our work. We're supporting them with a benefit. It's very important for us to let the people affected know that we're here to support you guys. We're holding strong," said benefit host Breanna Spitz.

The benefit lasts until 8:00 pm Friday night and will take place Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Donations can also be made at any 5 Points Bank location.
