Hastings family turns yard into haunted playground

Many choose Christmas as their favorite holiday, others the Fourth of July. But for some it's Halloween. In fact, the Breault family makes it a tradition to decorate.

Their front yard is covered in gravestones, carved pumpkins, and this year a haunted tunnel. It's located at 730 Valley Chase Avenue in Hastings.

The tunnel is lined with strobe lights, skeletons, and other ghoulish surprises.

At the end kids can grab their treats.

The Breault's have been going all out for the holiday for over 20 years.

"They go above and beyond every Halloween, their favorite holiday. We try to do something different every year. This year with the weather being so nice and a chance to get out we set up the spooky tunnel for everyone to go through to come in as they go up to the door to get their treats," said Megan Lockling.

The family started decorating Tuesday and will have their yard finished by the time trick or treaters arrive Wednesday evening.
