Human skull found in Burt County

Tools

A human skull has been uncovered in Lyons. That's in Burt County. The Nebraska State Patrol is assisting the local police department.

Forensic experts say the skull is that of a middle-aged woman.

They're trying to determine if it's in any way connected to the 1995 disappearance of Wanda Krumwiede.

Her husband, Wilhelm Krumwiede was charged with her murder, but acquitted.

He died in 2003.
