With this year's drought forcing food prices to go up, food pantries say they could face a tough winter with fewer donations.

Fortunately, some area pantries received big donations, thanks to an annual food drive at Husker Harvest Days.

88 FFA and 4-H clubs teamed up for the fourth annual America's Farmers Food Drive.

They collected 11,465 pounds of food.

That's not all. They took in more than $22,000 in monetary donations, too. $10,000 will go to the Heartland United Way and be used to provide fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, eggs and meat to the homeless shelters and food pantries in the area.
