Interview sessions begin for Hastings Police chief

Interviews take place Monday and Tuesday for the 4 finalists vying for the position of Hastings Police Chief.

Those four finalists include current Hastings Police captains Gene Boner and Adam Story; as well as Grand Island Police Captain Peter Kortum and Litchfield, Illinois Police Chief BJ Wilkinson.

The public is invited to meet the candidates after each interview in the Hastings City Council Chambers.

The meet and greet for BJ Wilkinson started at 11:00 am Monday morning; while Adam Story will be available Monday at 4:00.

The sessions continue Tuesday at 11:00 am for Peter Kortum;
followed by Gene Boner at 4:00 pm.

City officials ask that those planning to attend the sessions enter the city building from the Third Street entrance.
