Juvenile escapes police custody in Grand Island

According to Grand Island Police, a juvenile escaped custody early Tuesday afternoon after asking to go to the bathroom.

Reports indicate that the young prisoner was being transported from Madison, Nebraska to Hall County.

Police tell News 5 that he asked to go to the bathroom at the Pump and Pantry truck stop on East Highway 30.

He would then escape custody and head into the vicinity of a nearby railroad yard.

At last check he was still on the loose.
