Layaway angels descend on K-mart
Several families who had placed items on layaway at the Hastings K-mart have received a huge gift from a layaway angel. On Saturday, someone paid of $800 worth of bills; Sunday another $500 was paid off.
"This person came in and found out their layaway was paid off. They thought that was just fantastic, but at the same time they felt like, you know, I want to do the same thing for someone else. There was one lady that was in tears just because she was worried about the kids' Christmas," said store manager Rodney Keesee. Keesee says he wouldn't be surprised if more angels appeared at the store Monday. |
