Legislature Today (1/18/13): School security, older drivers, affordable housing
Friday marked the eighth of ten days for bill introductions in the legislature. A few introduced Friday include:
LB 346, which would allow school districts to levy a tax and also allow them to exceed budget authority for school security measures. LB 351, sponsored by Scottsbluff Sen. John Harms would require cognitive tests for persons 80 years of age or older to obtain a motor vehicle operator's license. And, also LB 394. The bill would authorize use of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund for vocational training. |
