Legislature honors Tom Osborne for service

After serving as head coach of Nebraska for 25 years and six years in the House of Representatives, Tom Osborne received special thanks from the Nebraska Legislature Monday morning.

Omaha Senator Bob Krist presented Osborne with the proclamation during this morning's floor session.

Legislative Resolution 55 congratulated Osborne on his many accomplishments over his career as well as thanking him for his lifelong contributions to the State Of Nebraska.

Osborne graduated from Hastings College in 1959 and went on to coach Nebraska from 1973 to 1997.

He recently retired as Nebraska Athletic Director after five years.
