Les Seiler reflects on first month in legislature

by Jordan Shefte

Newly appointed District 33 Senator Les Seiler is adjusting well into his new role. He met with constituents in Wood River Friday. Seiler has been in his seat now for almost a month.

So News 5 caught up with him to see if the legislature has been everything he expected.

"It's better than I expected. It really is a great experience, especially in the committees, you really get a lot of good debate you hear some really good testimony," said Seiler.

Seiler said that he has adjusted to his new position with the help of other senators.

He has already filed for the election this fall, and doesn't have any second thoughts.

Because individual bills were due a day after Seiler was appointed, he couldn't introduce any new bills, but he does plan to use his priority on a bill.
