A lightning strike ignited an explosion at the JBS Swift and Company in Grand Island.
Along with fire crews, neighbors flooded the area to get as close a glimpse of the flames as possible.
The fire was first reported at 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
JBS Swift and Co. officials say a bolt of lightning struck the tarp on a wastewater lagoon on the property.
The lagoon collects bio-gas, which is used for alternative fuel at Swift.
