We're number 1!... sort of. The city of Lincoln is anyway. This is according to the 2012 Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.

The poll sits Lincoln at number 1 among mid-size communities across the country.

Omaha came in at 27.

The state as a whole finished 7th out of 50.

If you're interested, Hawaii finished 1st and West Virginia finished 50th.

The poll weighs six factors when placing cities and states: Life
Evaluation, Physical Health, Emotional Health, Healthy Behavior, Work Environment and Basic Access.
