Not everyone is in favor of President Obama's tougher stand against guns. News 5 spoke with a Hastings gun shop owner, who is certainly not a fan of the move.

"The AR-15 is not an assault weapon. It may look like one, but its not. It was not developed to kill people, like these big news people are saying. It was made as a sporting rifle. It was made to represent something our country used to keep our country safe.

We law abiding gun owners don't need this done to us. Leave us alone. We're not the ones to worry about. Take care of the problem that is the mentally ill. But the problem is, if you let them get their foot in the door, they're going to open it up wide.

They won't stop with AR-15s. they'll go after everything. People are just paranoid and afraid of our government, and that's not the way it should be. The government should fear us. This is our country, and they're supposed to listen us, not us listen to them," said Clark Williams, Old Market Fire Arms.
