Local kids get a lesson in pumpkin painting

Kids love Halloween. But, it's not all about the costumes. As News 5 found out Tuesday night, kids also enjoy decorating their pumpkins.

The City of Hastings Parks and Recreation department hosted a pumpkin painting class at the city auditorium.

They provided the pumpkins for the kids. Members also taught the children how to paint the pumpkins. But, we learned the youngsters are pretty creative on their own.

It only cost kids $5 to take part in the pumpkin painting class.
