Lottery sales bring big money to beneficiary funds

Over the past three months there were some big winners in the Nebraska Lottery. But they're not the only one who hit the jackpot.

Strong sales in the final months of 2012 resulted in the largest amount of proceeds transferred to the Nebraska Lottery's beneficiary funds since the lottery began back in 1993. A total of $10,260,100.

The Beneficiary that benefited the most was the Nebraska Environmental Trust Fund. They received over $4 million.

The Education Innovation fund was awarded over $2 million.

3 other beneficiaries received funds.

This total transfer exceeded the previous record $10,071,052 that was transferred in June of 2012.
