Mary Lanning CEO announces leave of absence

by Jordan Shefte

Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital will be leaning on it's executive team for awhile. The hospital confirmed Friday that President and CEO, Brad Neet, is taking an extended personal leave of absence.

Jeff Anderson, chair of the hospital's board of trustees, says that the board voted unanimously on January 18th to grant Neet the leave.

Vice President for Outpatient Strategy, Mark Callahan, will serve as interim CEO during the leave of absence.

Hospital officials are saying that the request was made on behalf of Neet.

In a letter sent to hospital employees, Anderson said that the board looks forward to Brad Neet's return and the continuation of his leadership.

The reason for the leave of absence is unknown at this time.
