New information has come out regarding a large fine levied against a Central Nebraska feedlot. According to EPA officials, flyover surveillance "was" used while the investigation was ongoing.

Adams Land and Cattle Company, located in Broken Bow, agreed to pay $145,000 for livestock wastewater discharges into state waters.

According to the EPA Region 7 office in Kansas City, the original investigation was started based on findings from ground investigation in 2010 and 2011.

The flyover surveillance occurred during the investigation, but is said to have had no affect on the ground findings or the investigation.
