The Nebraska Highway State Patrol and the Adam County Sheriff Department are still urging drivers to slow down Thursday night.

They say they can't stress it enough. There have been serious accidents, fender benders and slide offs.

Just drive down Highway 281 and you'll see cars stuck in snow drifts.

Adams County reported only a few accidents but countless abandoned vehicles forcing them to move Highway 6 into a one lane road around Liberty Avenue.

The Nebraska State Patrol says many of the crashes and roll overs happened on I-80.

One accident was fatal.

Now, the storm has also affected homes.

Several hundred residents lost power within and around Hastings.
Grand Island reported 1500 residents that lost power which lasted for 45 minutes.
