Murder suspect arrested in small Nebraska town

It's a small, tight village of 587 people. Residents of Nelson, Nebraska might have been shocked to know a murder suspect was living in their community.

On Wednesday Lawrence Tarbert was arrested in connection with the death of 25 year old Joseph Glen Pruitt in New Mexico back in 2011.

Tarbert is being charged with first degree murder.

Investigators have been tracking Tarbert for some time now.

And, found out that he's been living in Nelson since November.
He was apprehended on Wednesday while driving with a suspended license.

Tarbert is being held in the Hall County jail and will be extradited back to New Mexico in just a few days.
