Murder suspect with Grand Island ties captured

He's been on the run from Nebraska authorities for weeks. But, the search has ended for murder suspect Adrian Casares.

The 20 year old was arrested Tuesday night by the Lone Star Fugitive task force in San Antonio, Texas on charges of making terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony in the murder of Tyler Schoenrock.

Casares is a known member of the East Side Locos gang and has connections to the city of Grand Island.

Authorities say that on December 30th Casares and Miguel Castillo got into an argument with 26 year old Tyler Schoenrock in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Schoenrock was shot dead in a rural area in Lancaster County.

Castillo was arrested a few days after the murder.

Casares was arrested Tuesday night along with 26 year old Tiffany Zerley. Zerley was arrested on a warrant charging her with shoplifting.

The two are currently being extradited back to Lancaster County.
