NPPD calls for summer power conservation
The state's electricity load hit record levels 16 of the past 19 days. And with the relentless heat, Nebraskans are being asked to begin conserving energy.
Some tips include: closing window drapes and doors in rooms you're not in, shower, do dishes, and laundry before 8:00 am, and unplug or turn off unused appliances, gadgets, or lights. While the NPPD says it doesn't expect any problems with black outs or brown outs, it's making these recommendations to combat potential issues. |
