In a little over twenty-four hours, Nebraska voters will cast their final votes in one of the most critical senate races. Senate candidate Deb Fischer made her last campaign stop in the tri-cities today.

Fischer met with a group of medical professionals who had some real concerns about the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Some say if the law isn't repealed their private practices will fade away.

If Obama wins office Fischer stands firm in her fight to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act. Physicians say the law forces too much regulation and penalties which will force them to hire more medical staff to accommodate patient care.

But the question for many is how they pay for it?

Medical professionals say the law doesn't work for rural medical facilities. Here's what each senate candidate had to say about healthcare.

“Our medical professionals are looking at devastating changes and especially those who are in private practice so it's going to be a big challenge to address those issues that they've brought forward to my attention but we have to look at them,” said Deb Fischer, Republican Senate Candidate.

“I fought to get the community access provisions in law in 1997 and every hospital in Nebraska with fewer than 25 bets have benefited from that law because it reimburses at 101% of costs that are a number of things like that, that are terribly important for rural Nebraska,” said Bob Kerrey, Democratic Senate Candidate.

At the discussion in Grand Island health professionals also griped about government reimbursements, they say under the healthcare act they are too low.

Senator Kerrey wrapped up his campaigning Saturday. Senator Fischer will spend her last days making that final push with voters in Lincoln.
