2012 Nebraska State Fair officially opens

Friday marks the beginning of the third year for the Fair to be held here at Fonner Park.

This year's opening ceremonies started the event in the last hour. And as we speak, Governor Dave Heineman along with many other luminaries are officially opening the 11-day long festivities in a parade near the East Entertainment Arena.

The State Fair runs through Labor Day.
