Nebraska ordered to pay up on sex offender laws
Nebraska has to pay up. A federal judge is ordering the state to pay more than $290,000 in attorney fees for a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of three Nebraska sex offender laws.
Those laws were passed in 2009, but put on hold because of the lawsuit. In October, a federal judge struck down parts of a law making it a crime for some sex offenders to use social networking sites. |
