When it comes to job growth in areas like technology, engineering, math and science, Nebraska is one of the top in the nation--the seventh fastest growing state.
The ranking was released by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at the annual jobs summit.
Governor Dave Heineman was there to hear the state statistics for himself.
But, Nebraska didn't just rank high in the job sector. The Cornhusker state also ranked sixth for its tax and regulatory climate, and twelfth in the nation for overall economic performance.
The Chamber says Heineman's focus on tax reform, infrastructure improvement ,and innovation and entrepreneurship helped the state soar toward the top of the list.
