Nebraskans march in D.C. against pipeline

Marching with a giant mock oil pipeline, protesters demonstrated against the Keystone XL project in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

That included land owners from here in Nebraska, as well as Bold Nebraska's Jane Kleeb, who shared concerns about the pipeline crossing agricultural land and the Ogallala aquifer.

They're concern is the potential for water and soil contamination
Last January, President Barack Obama temporarily blocked the pipeline over environmental concerns.

An organizer of Sunday's protest said this demonstration was to show the president they stand behind him if he rejects the project.
The proposed Keystone XL would run from Alberta, Canada to Texas.
Supporters say it would create jobs.
