Was Cathy Beard the only victim?

That's just one of the questions being raised Tuesday following John Oldson's arraignment hearing in Valley County District Court.

A not guilty plea was entered on Oldson's behalf.

The defense also entered a motion for disclosure, which could open up more than 50 pages from a diary from Oldson's mother.

According to the motion, the diary details the abduction, repeated sexual abuse, and subsequent deaths of four young women in north central Nebraska between the years of 1984 and 1989.

One of those deaths is thought to be Cathy Beard.

The motion also claims that the Valley County Sheriff's Office violated attorney client communications by listening in on a conversation between Oldson and his attorneys.

A pretrial hearing was set for November 6. A jury trial is set to begin November 26. It could last for about two weeks.
