New tenants coming to the Grand Island mall

The old Grand Island mall is getting a new look. Renovations of the former Furniture Super Saver building started in January.

Right now workers are doing demolition work on the interior, exterior and the roof of the building.

Builders have to structurally re-design the building to house four separate tenants.

Representatives with the construction company on the project say renovations are off to a great start because of the nice weather we've been having.

"So, we've been able to move along, we've had very few interruptions with weather at this point. So, if that holds out we should be able to maintain the schedule," said ICMS Inc. Project Manager Kelly Rafferty.

Bed Bath and Beyond, Dress Barn, and Shoe Carnival are confirmed tenants. The 4th tenant has yet to be finalized.

The project is expected to be finished this summer.
