Citywide Garage Sale in Hastings
It is said that one person's trash is another person's treasure and that's what hundreds of area residents discovered at the Hastings City Auditorium Saturday.
With over 40 amateur vendors selling everything from old movies and video games to collectible Native American styled knick-knacks, there was plenty to choose from. Each vendor had their own reason for participating in this year's event. One vendor appreciates the convenience and exposure. "You couldn't ask for anything more," said Adam Fischer. "You can go into your backyard where it's fifty degrees or you can come right inside where it's nice in here and have hundreds of people come, rather than maybe a person here or there pull up into your driveway." The yearly event was sponsored by the Hastings Park and Recreation Department and was free to the public. |
