Operation Christmas Child comes to the Tri-Cities
Christmas is still seven weeks away, but it's never too early to start thinking about how to help those less fortunate.
Right now, volunteers are collecting show boxes filled with gifts for millions of children around the world. It's all part of Operation Christmas Child. From now until November 19th, collection sites in Kearney, Grand Island, and Hastings will be bustling with activity as thousands of show boxes are filled with toys for boys and girls. But it's not just toys that are needed. "A great thing to put in the boxes is toothpaste and tooth brushes and soap and shampoo and hygiene type things," said Of course, toys are appreciated as well.
