Ord man dies inspecting circuit at alfalfa plant

An Ord man died after being electrocuted on the job Tuesday morning in Burwell. The Garfield County Attorney said Dean "Vegas" Lodewyck died from injuries after coming into contact with a live electrical wire at the Loup Valley Alfalfa Plant.

Lodewyck worked for Ricks Electric in Ord.

Witnesses said he was troubleshooting a suspected faulty circuit at the time when he was electrocuted.
