Perlman praises Osborne's role as athletic director

Tom Osborne took over as athletic director at the request of Chancellor Harvey Perlman following a tumultuous tenure by Steve Pedersen.
At Wednesday's press conference, Perlman said Osborne brought stability back to a fractured program.

"There was considerable anxiety among the fans and suporters of Husker athletics. And I think the last five yeras has demonstrated Tom's ability to bring those constituents together," said Perlman.

Perlman said he has already talked to some prospective candidates to fill the position. He was vague about any other specific details regarding the search.
