Pizza places prep for Super Bowl parties
We are just days away from the most watched event here in the U.S. every year. We're talking about the Superbowl.
Of course it's about the game, the halftime show, and the commercials. But, the food is just as important. And, as News 5 Video journalist Kevin Rempe shows us, pizza places know you'll be hungry this Sunday. "We have a deal this sunday, buy three pizzas and get a free appetizer and a bottle (2 liter) of soda. Last year we did really nice and had a number of orders. A lot of customers came in and over the phone placing outgoing orders. "Our pizza is handmade. From scratch, all fresh ingredients. Beside the fact, our customers can design their own pizza. "Well definitely, the whole crew is going to be here to tend and help the business because it's a special day. We have help on the floor." How many pizza's do you expect to make on Sunday? "That's hard to predict, but we think there will be a large amount of pizza's going out." "We're going to bring our crew in earlier. We're going to start prepping earlier. That way when the game starts we're going to be ready. A night like superbowl people don't want to get out. So there are a lot of deliveries. All of our drivers will be working that night. Actually, there are people who requested off and I said no, you can't do that. I need you to come in for a little while." |
