Police arrest driver after chase near Kearney

A Chinese National is behind bars after a 25 mile pursuit on Interstate 80. The State Patrol says the 46 year old Lifeng Wang is facing charges of speeding and flight to avoid arrest.

A trooper headed westbound near Wood River Thursday afternoon says Wang passed his vehicle, clocked at 111 miles per hour.

The trooper attempted to stop the car.

The driver failed to pull over and continued traveling westbound. Near the Kearney Interchange, the vehicle ran over spike strips deployed by the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, flattening a tire.
