There have been rallies, and route changes. But, still no solutions when it comes to the Keystone XL Pipeline. And, the fight goes on tonight in Albion Nebraska. That's where opponents and supports of the pipeline will gather.

The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality will explain their latest route before making final recommendations to the Governor.
This is the final hearing on a report from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality before the DEQ makes their recommendations to the governor.

Ahead of tonight's hearing, the DEQ held an informational meeting to allow residents to view the current pipeline route.

That route, which has been changed several times since its initial proposal, is one of the big reasons some residents oppose this pipeline.

The DEQ says this new route avoids the Sandhills and the Ogallala Aquifer.

But opponents disagree; they say it still runs through the Sandhills and is an environmental danger.

This is the last opportunity for both sides to express their opinions on the pipeline.

Before Tuesday night's hearing, a rally was held outside the event center. Buses of both supporters and opponents have lined the streets of Albion specifically for Tuesday night's meeting.

All the comments, both from inside as well as in written form, will be processed and taken into consideration before the DEQ makes their final recommendation.

Once that recommendation is finished, they will give it to the governor which who will have 30 days to either approve or deny their recommendations.
