Record Powerball jackpot sits at $500 million

Are you feeling lucky? You may want to purchase a powerball lottery ticket or two or maybe even more.

The Powerball Jackpot is at a record breaking high of $500 million.

The previous highest powerball was won in Lincoln back in 2006.

A group of eight ConAgra foods workers won $365 million. People are rushing out to stores to play their chances.

"There's an increase in numbers and then people are more apt to buy higher amounts as well. You know, instead of spending five dollars, they're going to spend ten dollars," said Pump and Pantry General Manager Jacob Goodrich.

The numbers will be drawn Wednesday night during the 10:00 news.
