Russian adoption ban delayed until 2014
Very good news potentially Friday out of Russia for some prospective parents in the United States. The ban against Americans adopting Russian children thought to go into effect at the beginning of the year won't until 2014.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the ban into law in late December bringing the adoption process to a halt which was very bad news for Paul and Michelle Mosley. The Minden couple has been trying to adopt six-year-old Artem for about a year, but they feared Putin's decision might end their chances of complete adoption. The U.S. State Department has said they hope to complete any adoption that started before the ban was signed. |
