SUV and truck crash sends one person to the hospital

A two-vehicle crash closed down a portion of Highway 6 Wednesday afternoon.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a cargo truck slowed down for train tracks just east of Central Community College in Hastings.

The driver of the SUV behind the truck ran into it.

He was alert and talking when medics arrived, and was taken Mary Lanning Healthcare for evaluation.
