There are public fireworks shows going on Wednesday night: In Grand Island, you can see the show at Fonner Park. It'll start at 10:00 pm and is set to patriotic music that you can hear on the radio. Tune to 103.1.

In Hastings, head on over to Brickyard Park for the annual display put on by the Hastings Rural Fire Department.

Festivities with food and entertainment begin at 5:30, and the fireworks will be set off at sunset.
