Senator challenges potential firearm restrictions

A Nebraska state senator wants to make any new federal firearm legislation invalid in the state.

Fremont Senator Charlie Jannsen is sponsoring LB 451. That bill would prohibit new federal restrictions on firearms, magazines, and firearm accessories.

The bill reads that any federal law, rule, regulation, or order effective on or after January 1st, 2013, shall be unenforceable within the borders of Nebraska.
